Why nobody is coming to save you: Get up and be your own hero

A lot of folks think they can demand aid from others whenever they’re in trouble.

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to rely on the assistance of our loved ones such as our family and best friends.

And when nobody is coming to save you, is when you need to get up and be your own hero. Here’s why.

Why is nobody coming to safe you in life?

It’s mostly true that nobody is coming to save you in life, and that’s why we need to get up and be our own heroes.

Although some want the best for us and are willing to lend a helping hand in times of need.

We need to do the work ourselves

We need to do the work ourselves, others can’t solve our issues for us. They can help us by providing guidance and emotional support. But in the end, it’s us who have to face our demons and change what’s bothering us.

There’s simply no substitute for hard work. No matter how intelligent you might be. You still need to put in the required time and effort to attain your goals and fix the issues in your existence.

Our life is our responsibility

Each individual has to take ownership of their life. That’s the personal responsibility that each member of society has.

That means that we can’t simply expect others to come running to our aid whenever we’re in trouble to get us out of the hole that we dug ourselves.

Yet, this doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t accept, or appreciate it when we do receive help from those around us. On the contrary, actually. But we shouldn’t go around thinking that we are entitled to receive attention and assistance.

Most people are indifferent

Indeed, we don’t care evenly about all members of society. I care more about my family and best friends than about people I don’t know personally, for example. I think that’s true for basically everyone in life.

Even more, I would even go as far as saying that most people don’t care about us at all. We’re all so caught up with living our own lives and personal problems that we frequently don’t even notice other folks or acknowledge the issues that they’re facing.

Since most people are indifferent, they’re certainly not in a hurry to come to save us when the situation requires it.

Teaches us to be independent

It’s essential to be independent in these modern times. Before, a lot more cooperation was required to simply survive, and that’s why working together came naturally to those members of societies before us.

These days, almost everyone is working and providing for themselves. The benefit is that you can survive on your own, but the clear downside to me is that you actually need to be competent to flourish, or else you’ll just dig a hole for yourself.

What does nobody is coming to save you mean, get up and be your own hero mean?

A person holding a question mark in front of their face.

Nobody is coming to save you means that no one’s going to come to your rescue to solve your problems.

Get up and be your own hero means that we must save ourselves by getting up, taking ownership of our difficulties, and tackling those issues head-on. We do that by making and executing a plan to change things for the better.

Thus, every single one of us is the hero in our own story. We have the potential to save ourselves, if we take responsibility for all the good, but particularly the bad that happens in our existence. On the flip side, we will most likely ruin our own lives if we don’t get ourselves under control, and become capable enough to confront life on our own.

Final note

Being able to rely on the support from friends and family is a luxury, and you should consider yourself blessed if that’s the case. Not everyone gets to be that lucky.

Remember that when no one is coming to save you, you need to get up and be your own hero. Ultimately, we only get one chance at life.

That can be a scary thing to do since you need to be courageous, and capable to clean up your mess by dealing with the difficulties in your existence.

But in the end, the only one you can always rely on is yourself. And that’s why you need to take ownership and be in charge of your present and future.
